Bespoak Hardwoods is a Connecticut based wood flooring company offering sales, installation, sanding & refinishing of all types of wood floors throughout Connecticut and surrounding states. We offer a great selection of flooring products, a wide variety of stain & finish options including; non-toxic hardwax oils, low VOC Water stains & finishes and traditional polyurethane finishes.
Our company is owned & operated by Christopher Stiso. Although we have a very high demand for our services, we have kept our team small by choice, so we can maintain the highest quality craftsmanship. We pride ourselves to offer the best quality of service, use the best flooring and finishing products. Our specialty is site finished hardwood floors due to the large amount of benefits over the prefinished option.

To obtain a free estimate, all we need are a few simple details about your project. Helpful info includes; room measurements or the square footage of the areas that you’d like to have done. As noted above we’ll gladly visit your home after your initial estimate and confirmation of your intent to hire us. At that time, we can discuss details and timing, we’ll also show you wood and finish samples if needed.
custom capabilities
Bespoak Hardwoods recognized for being one of the most creative in our field with regard to custom installations and custom finishing. We regularly consult with other renowned companies throughout the country discussing newest trends and industry events. Owner, Christopher Stiso attended art school for Printmaking and loves to incorporate that into his hardwood floor work. Some custom finishing we offer Christopher taught himself by studying old wood finishing techniques of widely known pioneers and he developed ways of applying these distinctive techniques, to an entire wood floor.
Some of our custom abilities include the following. Texturing with hand scraping & wirebrushing, French bleeding, bleaching, ebonizing, cerusing, wood block mosaics, fuming, dyes, smoke treatments, aging, parquetry, herringbone & chevron and much more. If it’s possible with wood, Bespoak Hardwoods can do it.
Although our specialty is site finished floors due to their infinite benefits over prefinished, some clients still want prefinished flooring. For those that do, we have built an awesome relationships with great finishing companies and have worked out arrangements with a couple flooring mills that allow us to offer bespoke prefinishing of flooring. This allows us to work with clients to find the exact look they want while getting a prefinished product if they desire.

Our product offerings include sustainably harvested lumber from some of the most elite mills. Our main supplier of domestic hardwoods is a New England based mill that’s been in the business over a century. We also have the largest selection of reclaimed hardwood flooring & paneling, the largest selection of exotic wood flooring in the area, the largest selection of end grain mosaics such as wood blocks and hexagon blocks. We have several options of flooring that’s been sawn differently to give it a different grain appearance. They are european oak, rift sawn, quarter sawn, rift & quartered, live sawn and more.
